hey all, i'm back from the OHB camp.

and its totally not a music camp. rather its more of leadership training and using music as a means to open up. and i really picked up a few tips there both of self and team management. alng with the constractive feedback bombs, i think its a good thing that it made me aware as to where my weaknesses were and what i should not be doing.

but away from that now. lets talk about all the nice things that happened. NUSH sent ten people. half year 4 half year 2. and we the year 4's were the oldest people there -.- the other schools were SAC, Huayi sec and Boonlay sec. our activities always start with 'jump-time' drum circle sessions. which is nice but sometimes boring cos the same patterns always always repeat. and you cant help it. sighs. but on the other hand, its cooler and more flexible than a drumline which can really tire the hell out of you.
overall, camp was pretty lax, although they claimed that some sessions were heavy. well, not really lah. we're just tired cos we never sleep until after 1+ or 2. playing cards and worms world party. my gosh.oh and over these four days, we've just been stuck within that same compound with the exception of twice when we got out to walk to coffeebean. whee.

so yeah.. at night, at least 5 NUSH people would be stuffed in a small HUT with two doubledecker beds and no toilets. and there is where the action is until 2am. shiyi and i were rooming with two guys from Boonlay sec. oh and yes. most common words throughout four days were 'great', 'exceeded expectations' and 'shiok'. for example, a packet of noodles finally gets out of the machine. iryadiy goes 'eh free one! shiok!' ohh goodness...

i guess one cool highlight would be talent show night. i think we all did really well cos we just expressed ourselves in every team. and a show became an interactive dance session. well, now is the time to use MY favourite phrase. THATS HOT. i cant wait to get the videos and pictures!

but overall, a lot of learning. i shall just name one.
